Mittlerweile sind all meine Großeltern tot.
Wenn mein Vater sagt: und jetzt sind wir schon die Nächsten, dabei scheint es mir noch gar nicht so lange her, daß wir 18 waren, dann sage ich: na jetzt aber.
Doch wir wissen beide, daß es stimmt,
wenn alles seinen normalen Gang nimmt.
Und einerseits ist es in Ordnung und wie es eben funktioniert,
andererseits werde ich mich nie daran gewöhnen, daß alles ständig stirbt,
daß Gebäude plötzlich nicht mehr da sind, daß Läden einfach schließen
und man es nie kommen sieht, nie weiß, wann sich verabschieden.

Und manchmal, nur ganz selten, hätte ich gerne alles zurück, was ich je verloren habe
Um vernünftig Entschuldigung oder Lebewohl zu sagen
Oder um über gar nichts zu reden.
In mir ist zu viel Haß und Wahn und Wut, so daß ich immer nur damit und mit mir selbst beschäftigt bin und kaum zu etwas anderem komme.
Und jetzt sind all meine Großeltern tot.

Hallo Tom, Vielen Dank für die CDs und deine netten Worte. Schade, dass es von diesem wahnsinnig tollen Album kein Vinyl geben wird, aber verständlich.
